Dry Needling

Dry Needling is a form of therapy in which fine needles are inserted into myofascial trigger points (knots), tendons and/or ligaments in order to stimulate a healing response in painful musculoskeletal conditions. Pain negatively affects how your body moves. Dry needling can help to reduce pain and muscle spasm and increase comfortable function. We have had great success in using Dry Needling in conjunction with traditional Physical Therapy to treat neck pain, shoulder pain and impingement, hip dysfunction, calf spasm and back pain. Ask your therapist if Dry Needling is right for you!

Athletic & Sports Performance

Everyone is an athlete! Whether you are an avid runner, hiker, biker, swimmer or skier or if you enjoy golf, tennis or yoga, or if you play a team sport like soccer, basketball or football-- our Athletic & Sports Performance program is for anyone looking for an individualized program relative to maximizing performance potential and reducing risk of injury. We have trained experts on site who will help you achieve your athletic goals and increase your strength and stamina. To help with this process your therapist’s work is supplemented by the use of our on-site gym facility. We also offer a specialized Runnning Gait Analysis. This evaluation includes a flexibility and strength screen as well as a video analysis of your running gait. Based on the results you are given individualized exercises and techniques to increase your strength and flexibility, to correct any deficiencies and improve your gunning gait efficiency.

Ergonomic Evaluations and Work Screenings

It is a hard truth that humans have never lived more sedentary lives as we do today. Many of us spend hours upon hours sitting in our office chairs, staring at a computer screen all day. For this reason, among many others, it is vital that we partake in as much activity as possible during time away from the desk. Staying active is key but when you are “on the clock” there are ways in which you can stay safe and avoid the time of strain that is often associated with repetitive movements.

We offer Ergonomic Evaluations where one of our physical therapists can visit the job site and evaluate employee’s workspace and activities and teach them proper positioning in order to avoid pain or injury related to work. We have all been told since childhood to not slouch! Ergonomics is about more than merely standing up straight. Your therapist will teach you how to use your body, and your work space to best suit your wellness and productivity needs.

With Lifting Screens we invite YOUR employees or prospective employees to visit our clinic for a one time evaluation to assess their strengths in relation to work-related demands. The therapist will test their capabilities and determine whether or not they feel they meet all the job requirements. They will make suggestions based on their findings. For more information on these special services please give us a call.
